Joy Luck Valley can be entered through the blue portal next to the Keepers of Halos in Shenwu Valley .
Once the first wave spawns, the Shintao Storages and mobs will likewise spawn in Joy Luck Valley . Players can enter at any time in order to boost Shintao supplies.
Returning to the Battleground
The pillar on the left of the Altar of Sacrifice in Joy Luck Valley will take you back to the Overworld.
The pillar on the right will take you back to the Battleground in Shenwu Valley .
Players killed in the main battleground will appear at the Altar of Sacrifice as well, so do not click the ‘Return to City’ button after dying.
Shintao and Upgrades
As the defense progresses, the waves become stronger and tougher. Fortunately, the defenders can also buy upgrades to give the party an edge.

Shintao is the currency used to purchase upgrades. Shintao can be earned at the end of every Level, after defeating all the wave bosses. Alternately, it can be gathered by paying a visit to Joy Luck Valley .

Any player can gather Shintao , but only the bearer of the Divine Coupon may purchase upgrades.
The Keepers of the Halos

Speak to the Keeper in order to purchase or upgrade a Halo . Depending on the Level of the instance, a Halo may be upgraded 4, 5 or 6 times.
Level 1 – 500 Shintao
Level 2 – 600 Shintao
Level 3 – 700 Shintao
Level 4 – 800 Shintao
Level 5 – 800 Shintao
Level 6 – 1000 Shintao
The effects of the various Halos are as follows:
Halo of Healing � Restores HP at set intervals. (Roughly 10 seconds)
Halo of Spirit – Restores MP at set intervals. (Roughly 10 seconds)
Halo of Defense – Increases the party’s overall Physical Defense.
Halo of Vigor – Restores Vigor at set intervals. (Roughly 30 seconds)
Halo of Attack – Increases party’s overall Atk and MAtk.
