New Class: Ren Xia

Ren Xia, a Tideborne magic class, wields oceanic power, unleashes rapid attack spells, and avoids fatal damage.
Versatile in both PvE and PvP, they excel in dungeons with high DPS and provide essential support in battles. With their unique abilities, Ren Xia is a valuable asset to any squad.

The appearance of the new class is inspired by Chinese dragons, which are considered a symbol of the good beginning of yang and are strongly associated with the element of water.

Their connection is emphasized by Ren Xia’s appearance, which is unlike other Tideborne – only their basic hairstyles have graceful dragon horns, their ears are similar to human ones, and they have no tattoos on their bodies.

The origins of the Ren Xia go deep into the history of the Ideal World, which is only now being revealed to us, when the connection with the Eastern lands is gradually being restored.

Around the 1520s, the City of Radiance was under serious threat. To save themselves, the elders and priests decided to form a party that would travel to the eastern part of the Sea of Unknowns. Dongfang Liqing, the daughter of a priestess and a general, led them on a difficult and dangerous journey. Diseases, sea monsters, and yakshasas awaited them in the depths and among the reefs, until one day, as if by fate, they met Xuan Wu. He was an ancient white dragon, once a companion of the water god Gonggong. He literally felt a kinship with the amphibians and helped them survive.

For a time they lived in peace, but then the connection between the continents was broken, and the dragon, having lived a long life, died. Before his death, he invited his newfound family to him and bestowed his power on them – changing their appearance, and he himself became an island where they were able to build a new home. Transparent jade could be found in abundance on the island, from which Dongfang Liqing was able to create qin. As if created from the bones of a dragon and filled with its power, it resonated with the energy of the amphibians themselves, allowing them to improve. Later, Liqing’s student, inspired by the swordsmanship of the swordsmen of the Eastern Lands, added a blade to this tool.

While training, the amphibians continued to try to contact their relatives in the Central Lands. Now that the curtain was falling, they were able to return, but they were faced with the question of what to call themselves. The young men and women had suggested many options. But following the posthumous will of Dongfang Liqing, they remained nameless, so as not to become arrogant and forget the deeds accomplished by their ancestors. The name “bards” was given to them by the locals who observed the musical talents of the arriving amphibians.

Weapon

Ren Xia fights with a musical instrument called the qin and a Chinese sword called the jian, which allows them to use both long-range and melee attacks.

They are literally the embodiment of good yang energy, who will become excellent fighters against the Soulless, due to their high moral principles, education and striving for perfection.

Capabilities

Ren Xia is a magic class that wears arcane armor. His main stat is intelligence, which increases attack power. He deals damage from a distance with his qin, and up close when he switches to his sword. He is a damage-dealing character who provides support to his allies.

Most often, Ren Xia uses the qin. Many skills used on this weapon deal three consecutive hits per skill, and also add musical notes for a short time. Having collected nine such signs, Ren Xia enters a state of resonance – and then all his attacks become critical . If there are fewer signs, then critical hits are not dealt. The critical hit chance, which is found on equipment, is also used differently: every 5% increases the damage dealt by 1%.

In addition, Ren Xia can also consistently heal himself and allies, increase critical damage, increase damage to monsters and even restore genie energy ! For their own protection, these amphibious representatives use “Dragon’s Guidance” , which limits the damage they receive to 40% (20%) of the bard’s health, and “Secret Grudge” to transfer all negative effects from themselves to the selected target.

The sword is rarely used. To use it, you need to learn a transcendental skill that will allow you to get this weapon for 20 (40) sec. The sword can be taken out even under control effects and thus remove all negative statuses from yourself. During the entire time of using the sword, Ren Xia is not affected by negative effects, and the skills are used while moving and with virtually no reloading. The sword’s skills allow you to reduce the target’s magical defense, slow down the enemy, restore your own health and reduce damage taken, as well as move to the target or in the desired direction.
