Game Features – Battle System

Territorial Battles
The game divides the whole terrain into smaller domains and has a built-in territorial battle system where clans and factions can build, arm and fortify a city or multiple establishments at the same time. Fortify the captured city with catapults and armaments to effectively guard your location against opposing attackers who are keen on expanding their territory.

Battle in Land, Sea and Air

Each character and class in Perfect World has the special ability and peripherals to fly, trek, and swim in different terrains. Inherent attributes, special equipments, summons or even mountable animals make it possible for characters to not only fly, trek, and swim but also to duel and clash on any of the terrain. Perfect World created a world with flying monsters and floating cities and ruins, all waiting to be explored.

PK (Player Kill)
Players below level 30 are in PK-Protected Status; they can not attack or be attacked by other players.
At level 30 and above, players will be automatically in PK-Enabled status. They can attack and can be attacked by other players with the same status (Dying from PK will not cause loss of experience, but items may be dropped).

Players who have just logged in can change their automatic PK-Enabled status to PK-Protected. However, if they switch to PK-Enabled again afterwards, they must remain in PK-Enabled mode for 10 online hours before being able to change back to PK-Protected. (Logging out and logging in after enabling the 10-hour timer does not reset it to the automatic PK-Enabled status)

PK Color Code of Character Names:

  • Blue : Cannot attack and cannot be attacked by others.
  • White : Can attack other players likewise in PK-enabled status.
  • Pink : layers who have recently attacked (even through accidental AoE damage) another player will have their name turn Pink for a while.
  • Red : Players who have killed another player will have their name turn red for a long period of time. The more players killed, the longer the character’s name will remain red.

When your name is colored red, you will lose more experience when killed by monsters and PK-Protected players will be unable to cast support magic on you. Other players’ PK status will not change color if they attack or kill you.
If your name is colored red and you kill monsters that are of equal or higher level, the red status will disappear faster. There are numerous safe zones (such as towns, dungeon spawn points) in which PK is disabled. You will not be able to attack other players until you have left the safe zone.

During City Battles or during a Duel, PK penalties are temporarily disabled, and you may attack and kill other players without penalties.
