Wingkind

Blessed with the ability to fly, these people are believed to be descendants from the gods themselves. They were born with ear feathers, which allow them to summon wings and soar to the skies. The Wingkind have been blessed with two major skills; they have eyes as sharp as a hawk‘s and mastery over the metal element. As descendants of gods, some of them even have the ability to aid their allies in battle. And so we introduce to you, the Yu Mang and the Yu Ling.

Blessed with extreme dexterity and agility, the Yu Mangs are incredibly deadly in long range combat. Their primary weapons are projectile weapons such as; bows, slings, and crossbows. Most of their skills are equipment dependant, so it would be unwise to use weapons other than those they are proficient with. As Wingkin, they are also blessed with ear feathers that will enable them to summon wings, however they are not able to retain them very long since whenever they summon their basic wings, 1 MP is reduced per second of flight. Fortunately, upon reaching level 30, they will be able to equip better and faster wings that will not deplete their mana.

Yu Mangs are regarded as one of the deadliest characters in Perfect World since they can attack by either magical or physical means. Since dexterity is one of their primary stats, Yu Mangs have also been known to have insanely high chances of causing critical hits. Since their dexterity is evenly distributed with strength, the majority of these winged archers can only wear Light Armors. Unfortunately these only have mediocre physical and magical defense abilities, which already add to the already low base HP of the Yu Mang making them susceptible to high levels of damage.

VS. Monsters
Since ranged weapons are their specialty, Yu Mangs can easily kill monsters from a certain distance with their skills. Yu Mangs also have the ability to knock back monsters or stop their movement, ultimately killing them before they can even come close.

PVP
Yu Mangs are known to be best in Player vs. Player combat since they can easily kill someone from afar. There will be times that the target player will never know what hit them since some players can be killed by 1 or 2 hits depending on critical strikes.

Territorial Wars
Yu Mangs are also one of the most sought after characters during the territorial wars because of their superior range when engaging enemies. The variety of their skills also helps in killing off advancing characters. However, Yu Mangs will have to keep a close watch on any attacker using magical based attacks; their mediocre resistance means they can not sustain large amounts of damage.

Yu Lings are always in demand when it comes to forming a party in Perfect World. Their abilities are not exactly made for attacking. Although a little bit of build experimenting may provide a boost to their damage potential, but their skills would still never be on par with the heavier hitters. However, Yu Lings are regarded to be one of the more useful character classes as no dungeon raid, territorial war, or PK war would ever survive for long without this class.

Armed with Mystical weapons such as magic swords, short staves, staves, and wheels, Yu Lings have the power to invoke the powerful skills based on lightning. They can even call upon the heavens to heal, buff, or even resurrect an ally. Most of the Yu Lings wear Magic Robes to protect themselves, making them incredibly strong against magical based attacks but highly susceptible to physical damage. They also have the feather barrier skill which enables them to be protected from Physical attacks at the cost of mana. Yu Lings suffer have a low health points which can be compensated by using better equipment.

VS. Monsters
Yu Lings are incredibly strong against wood monsters because most of their attacks are metal based. They can easily kill most any monster because of their ability to replenish their HP. Yu Lings are also fast levelers due to their fast casting and rapid cool down of their skills.

PVP
A Yu Ling can also be proficient in PvP because they have several disabling skills and debuffs. However due to the nature of their armor, a small mistake could prove to be fatal. For a Yu Ling to be able to kill someone, they should kill the enemy as fast as possible. The Yu Ling shines greatest when they provide support for their allies in PvP’s.

Territorial Wars
Yu Lings are severely needed in the battle field because of the sole reason that only they can keep their comrades alive. In some clans, 1 or 2 Yu Lings stay in the base as buffers. Yu Ling buffs will surely increase the chances of survival in the battle field.

Beastkind

Believed to be descended from Demons, Beastkind somewhat resembles human but has the ability to transform into animals, thereby extending their capabilities far beyond that of the average human. The Male Beastkind is called Yao Shou, which has strength and power on their side as they can withstand the strong attacks of any enemy. They also have the ability to transform into ferocious white tigers. The females of the Beastkind are called the Yao Jings which can tame and summon monsters to aid them. Yao Jings has the ability to transform into foxes.

Regarded as the tanker class, the Yao Shou has incredibly high HP and superior defense. They are needed as a tank rather than a damager. Yao Shou’s weapons of choice are axes and hammers. These weapons have high maximum attack but are also slow when it comes to their attack rate. Yao Shou skills are also dependent on these weapons. One fantastic thing about the Yao Shou is that each can transform into a White Tiger which will further increase its HP and movement speed at the cost of decreased attack power.

Due to being strength as one of their primary stats, Yao Shous wear Heavy Armors which is extremely strong against Physical damage but extremely weak to magical types of attack. Although, this weakness is compensated with a huge boost in Hit Points every time they level up or add a point of CON.

Monsters
A Yao Shou can easily take on any kind of monster. However, because of its lack of magical defense, Magic capable monsters can prove to be challenging feat especially poison type monsters that can stack their damage to a great amount when not given proper attention.

PVP
This character class has the highest survivability rate compared to all of the other classes. With their standard build of high hit points, any class that will try to kill this character class will surely have a hard time especially when he is equipped with amulets and in Tiger form.

Territorial Wars
Yao Shou’s are needed in territorial wars due to the fact that they are the ideal catapult carriers. Catapults deal massive damage to enemy structures and are necessary in order to win. If a catapult carrier is paired with a YuLing, the Yao Shou will be almost invincible! They can also be attackers and can deal massive damage to spell casters and can even kill them in one hit by their Armageddon skill.

Master of the Wood Element, a Yao Jing’s excels at summoning countless numbers of insects to attack an opponent. These “insects” have their own special function. Speaking of summoning, this character class can tame and summon monsters, and each monster will even have their own set of statistics. they can even make them learn skills and will use her own souls in order for the monsters to learn them. Together with their master, the summoned monsters level up as well. However, since Yao Jings rely heavily on magic, they consume loads of mana pots as well, but not as fast a Yu Ling. A Yao Jing has skills that can restore up to 50% of their mana. Contrary to being a mage type, a Yao Jing can turn into a fox, enabling her to attack opponents head on with powerful debuffing spells. Unfortunately, these skills require magic weapons in order to execute. Becoming a Yao Jing can be pretty complicated since it has different build types but the common one is the Mage Type Yao Jing which concentrates more on INT. However, due to the concentration on INT, Yao Jings can only wear Magic robes which are strong against magic attacks but extremely weak against Physical attacks. A Mage type Yao Jing equips magic type weapons such as magic swords, short staff, staff, and wheel.

Monsters
Considered fast levelers, a Yao Jing can easily destroy enemies because there is a pet aiding them. Most of the time, a Yao Jing uses their pet as a tank and continually destroys the enemy. There will be times that the monster will switch targets but still with excellent timing and precise running, you can gain levels without using any HP potions.

PVP
They are actually good in PvP especially when a pet is there to aid them. They can do a fair amount of damage and even have skills that protect them from other major damages.

Territorial Wars
Although Yao Jings would be excellent as a fighter, they can also function as debuffers. Yao Jings have the skill to remove any positive buffs on the target and can disable or weaken them further. Yao Jings are sometimes referred as the anti-catapult since they can destroy a cata carrier so well; especially with different debuffs being thrown at the poor cats. Since catapult carriers are more often times a Hard Armor type class, their magic defense is severely poor. Unfortunately, a quick shot of arrows or a barrage of physical skills or even an extreme attack of an enemy pet can kill a Yao Jing instantly.

Humans

They are the inheritors of the Perfect World. They were created by the Celestial Monarch and the Ten Veiled King themselves. They have multiplied and cultivated the Perfect Land to what it is today. Like all the other races, there are two classes in Humans. We have the Wu Xia, which is a versatile warrior that can handle different kinds of melee weapons, and we have the Fa Shih which is considered to be the class that packs quite a punch.

Though considered a jack of all trades when it comes to dishing out melee damage, they still have skills that allow them to reach or run away from enemy targets easily. Wu Xias can wield Simple Swords, Dual Swords, Axes, Hammers, Fists, Claws, and Spears. Each of these weapons also has their own set of Skill trees and each of these skill paths each have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Each Wu Xia has a variety of weapons at their disposal, a fairly balanced build, and amazing skill animation.

Monsters
Different weapons have different advantages. Dual Sword wielders and Axe/Hammer wielders usually have an advantage against all monsters. Both weapons have their fair share of damage that can easily kill enemies. Axe/Hammer wielders often use Area of Effect skills to gather monsters. Make sure though that they’re monsters who use physical attacks; otherwise you’ll be burnt, electrocuted, poisoned, drowned or maybe even frozen…

PVP
In the PvP environment, Wu Xias can also be seen running rampant. Especially Axe/Hammer types since they pack quite a wallop. Magic users are an easy target granting that you get them first before they release a spell, otherwise, you’ll die very quickly. A Wu Xia can also cream a Yu Mang… if he has enough dex to hit it.

Territorial Wars
In Territorial Wars, Wu Xias have many roles to play. They are extremely useful in disabling huge crowds of warriors because of their AOE stun. Wu Xias also act as protectors for the magic types and the long ranged attackers. Last, but not the least, they serve as the main force of the clan, constantly disabling and killing all those magic attackers to aid in the advance of their force. Several clans even deploy Wu Xias as some sort of suicide stunners so that the long range attackers can pick them off one by one.

Once a Fa Shi releases a spell, destruction is sure to follow. Fa Shihs are regarded as the character class with the most damage. They control the elements of Earth, Water, and Fire and each of those spells carries different characteristics. Fire spells are mostly fast release spells with medium damage compared to other spells like. Water on the other hand has several status altering effects but take longer to cast compared to fire type spells. Earth spells on the other hand, packs quite a punch but the casting time is the slowest of all other spells.

Since this is a magic class, its stat points is concentrated on INT and can wield magical weapons. Its armors are Magic Robes. This class is quite susceptible to physical damage.

Monsters
Since they have the ability to deal enourmous amounts of damage, a Fa Shih can level up quickly. Upon reaching level 39, Fa Shihs will have the ability to knock back their opponents giving them more ample time to finish them off without getting hit.

PVP
They generally kill people with one hit. A Fa Shih fighting another magic user would prove to be quite a challenge. Unfortunately for Fa Shihs, casting is certainly a problem unless your prey is not attentive.

Territorial Wars
They are generally considered the class that dishes out the most amount of damage during wars. Because of their extreme damage to Wu Xias and Yu Mangs, Fa Shihs tend to dominate the field when put up against them They are also catapult carrier killers since it’s already clear that usually Yao Shous carry the catapults. Unfortunately for Fa Shihs, they should always stay behind the front lines because further exposure will lead to their imminent death.
